The Rio will remain the Rio in terms of name and theme, but that doesn’t mean the hotel’s new owner, Dreamscape Companies of New York City is sticking with the status quo.
Significant changes are on the way for the 31-year-old off-Strip resort, which has faded in recent years.
Running away from Rio’s past will not result in those changes. Instead, the new owners believe they can capitalize on what made the property successful in the first place while also incorporating new elements that guests have come to expect from a modern Las Vegas resort. To that end, they’ve assembled a team of industry experts to advise them and assist them in putting their vision into action.
