bet365 celebrates major online and radio milestones

Stoke-on-Trent-based operator bet365 has just announced a number of major news out of its two core markets of the UK and Spain.

The news comes as the firm presses on with international expansion, further establishing its foothold in the US and making its debut in France.

Turning our attention to Spain, the betting and iGaming brand managed to maintain a growth trajectory between September 2025 and February 2026 to become the most downloaded online sports betting app continuously in that period.

Not only that, but the operator has managed to consistently rack up high user ratings for an average of 4.5 stars out of a total of 228,000 reviews, reflecting the trust Spanish punters place in the brand.

The high popularity of the bet365 app in Spain was further supported by a YouGov study, which found that the brand is recognised by 47% of Spanish users, making it the most identifiable on the domestic market.

Commemorating the achievement, Alex Sefton, bet365 Global Chief Marketing Officer said: “To be named as the most downloaded Online Sports Betting App in Spain is a source of great pride for all at bet365. It is testament to bet365’s continuous global commitment to innovation and delivering a world-class product.”

bet365 tunes into radio sports wave

Things haven’t been quiet in the UK either, with bet365 launching an official bookmaker partnership with one of the leading radio sports shows in the country, talkSPORT, just in time for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The partnership was celebrated with bet365 sponsoring the inaugural talkSPORT Padel World Cup, which took place on 2 June at the Padium in London’s Canary Wharf, where a mixture of household talkSPORT names, Premier League stars, and other influential figures participated in a day-long tournament that managed to rake in a more than 2.2m views across social media platforms.

With the partnership officially underway, bet365 will make appearances across talkSPORT’s World Cup content portfolio, including the “Road to the Final” preview, live match broadcasts, dedicated shows, digital content, social channels, and on-air promotions among others.

While not traditionally airing on the radio like in the UK and Ireland, football fans in Spain can also tap into talkSPORT’s exclusive broadcasts by downloading the show’s mobile app. This represents even more opportunities for bet365 to effectively cross-sell across different entry points.

Sefton added: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with talkSPORT across what we’re hoping will be an incredible summer of football. talkSPORT has an unmatched ability to engage passionate football audiences across multiple platforms, and we look forward to working together throughout the tournament to deliver compelling content and experiences for fans.”

Also quick to celebrate the new partnership was Liam Fisher, Head of talkSPORT, who explained: “I’m delighted that we’re partnering with bet365 as our headline bookmaking partner across what is set to be the world’s biggest sporting tournament ever. talkSPORT will be the destination for live commentary and livelier opinions from the first whistle to the lifting of the trophy.”
