SBC Summit’s Sports Betting Innovation Track to highlight AI, live data and integrity tech

SBC Summit will spotlight the technologies driving the next generation of sports betting with a dedicated Sports Betting Innovation track. Featuring leading operators and technology experts, the agenda will explore the innovations helping sportsbooks deliver faster, smarter and more engaging betting experiences.

Part of the wider Tech & Innovation Stage, the Sports Betting Innovation track will take place on Tuesday, 29 September. Across the track, operators will learn how to leverage technology to strengthen fan engagement, incorporate innovative game mechanics, and use advanced tools to protect betting markets from integrity threats.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, said: “The sports betting industry has never had more access to technology, data, and innovation. The challenge is no longer finding new tools, but understanding which ones create genuine value and how to use them effectively.

“The Sports Betting Innovation track has been designed to help delegates cut through the noise and focus on the technologies, partnerships, and strategies that can deliver a real competitive advantage.”

The opening session, Sportstech Intelligence: How Live Data Shapes Smarter Odds, will examine how operators can turn live sports data into more engaging and responsive betting experiences. Panellists Giovanni Bertoli (Co-Founder & CEO, WSF Odds), James McKiernan (Commercial Director, Genius Sports) and Hristo Spasov (Head of Trading, Nederlandse Loterij) will explore how advances in data processing, AI, and pricing technology are enabling faster odds creation and better in-play markets for players.

The conversation will then turn to how companies can negotiate better access to this data through partnerships in the session Connecting the Game Through Next-Generation Tech Partnerships. Experts Rob Brown (B2B Growth Director, Spotlight Sports Group), William Bonalume (COO, Open Gaming), and Ricardo Peixoto (Country Manager Brazil, Sofascore) will examine how closer partnerships between operators, media companies, sports organisations, and data providers are helping create richer betting experiences and deeper player engagement.

Next, the track will examine how fantasy sports operators can continue to innovate and expand as regulatory scrutiny increases. In Fantasy Sports: From Make-Believe to Market Pressure, John Pauley (VP of Government Affairs & Partnerships, Underdog Fantasy) and Kevin Vela (Managing Partner, Vela Wood) will discuss how fantasy sports businesses can navigate increasing regulatory scrutiny while using personalisation to improve the player experience.

The conversation will then shift to the technology helping operators protect betting markets from integrity threats in the session Modern Manipulation: Are Today’s Integrity Tools Built for Yesterday’s Threats? As integrity issues become increasingly sophisticated, Khalid Ali (CEO, International Betting Integrity Association), Ivan Gojic (Chief Sportsbook Officer, Entain CEE), Alex “Jay” Balan (CISO, Superbet Group), and Donald Tabone (CISO, Betsson) will explore the tools helping operators stay ahead, including AI-powered monitoring, social media intelligence, and cross-operator alert systems.

Beyond the conference agenda, operators will be able to explore SBC Summit’s dedicated iGaming & Sports Betting zone on the show floor. The area will bring together sportsbook platforms, odds and data suppliers, trading and risk management specialists, in-play technology providers, AI betting solutions, and operators looking to strengthen their product.

For attendees seeking a more practical learning experience, SBC Summit will also offer dedicated Masterclasses as part of the Education+ Upgrade. These sessions are designed to give delegates hands-on insight into key areas of betting and gaming operations, helping them move beyond high-level discussion and develop skills they can apply directly to their businesses.

Attendees looking to explore sportsbook innovation beyond the conference agenda can also take advantage of SBC Summit’s guided Show Floor Tours, a new feature within the event’s expanded networking programme.

Dedicated Sportsbook and AI in Gaming tours will give attendees direct access to the suppliers and technologies shaping the future of betting, allowing them to continue conversations started on stage and discover new solutions for their businesses.
