With golf’s major season officially concluded, the PGA Tour moves on to the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota.
Scottie Scheffler is playing in the event for the first time, and he’s the betting favorite to win. Defending champion Kurt Kitayama is also in the field again this year.
There are only three events remaining before the FedEx Cup Playoffs begin:
- 3M Open (July 23-26)
- Rocket Classic (July 30-Aug. 2)
- Wyndham Championship (Aug. 6-9)

Best Bet on Favorite to Win 3M Open
Scottie Scheffler +270
I know, I know. +270? Kalshi was offering +300 as of publication, so you should consider betting on Scheffler there.
Scheffler had a horrendous week putting at the Open Championship, but he nearly won his second straight Claret Jug anyway. He’s playing so well from tee to green, and it’s only a matter of time before he lands his second win of the 2026 season.
Scheffler won The American Express back on January 25. It’s not as if Scheffler hasn’t been close to winning since, either. In April, he reeled off three consecutive runner-up finishes at The Masters, RBC Heritage, and Cadillac Championship. Aside from a surprising missed cut at the Genesis Scottish Open, his form has been stellar over the last month.
- US Open (T-4)
- Travelers Championship (2nd)
- Open Championship (T-4)
This is the weakest field that Scheffler will face all year, and he could win going away. Kitayama finished 23-under-par last year, and no 3M Open winner has finished lower than -15.
Best Bet on Sleeper to Win US Open
Jackson Suber (+3800)
Jackson Suber is getting closer and closer to his first win on the PGA Tour. He flashed last week at the Open Championship, leading after the opening round and contending into the third round. He finished T-28.
Prior to that, Suber was in the mix to win the John Deere Classic before finishing sixth. He also finished T-4 in the Canadian Open. This could be the week that Suber lands that maiden win on the PGA Tour.
Best Bet on Longshot to Win 3M Open
Lucas Glover (+12000)
I just don’t understand these odds based on Lucas Glover‘s recent form. He’s put together his best two finishes in the last two events, finishing T-3 at the John Deere Classic and T-5 at the ISCO Championship.
Glover led the ISCO Championship after 54 holes and shared the lead after the third round of the John Deere Classic.
Glover appears to have turned the corner after a slow start to the season that included five missed cuts. His best finish in the 3M Open (T-7) came in the event’s debut in 2019. He hasn’t played in the 3M Open the past two years after missing the cut four times. This is a boom-or-bust play, but we’re banking on his current form to shine through.
