The No. 1 Texas Longhorns take on the No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers in an SEC showdown on Saturday. Kickoff is set for noon ET at Neyland Stadium with live coverage on ABC.
US President Donald Trump is expected to be in attendance, which means team communications could be disrupted.
“The one thing that you have to be aware of when the president goes to any game is that anytime he enters the stadium, leaves the stadium or changes locations within the stadium, they cut all communication,” Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said. “So, they cut your headsets. They cut the headsets to coaches. They cut headsets for coach-to-player communication. So you have to have a plan for that, if and when it happens, and you get no warning. It just gets cut out.”

ESPN’s College GameDay will also be in Knoxville for the biggest game on Saturday’s CFB slate. Heisman contender Arch Manning leads the Longhorns. He’ll be playing on the same field that uncle Peyton Manning dominated during his undergraduate years at Tennessee.
Texas and Tennessee are among the nine undefeated teams in the SEC. While Manning is a veteran under center for Texas, Tennessee freshman QB Faizon Brandon was one of the nation’s top recruits.
The Vols also feature talented RBs in Deshaun Bishop and Daune Morris. Tennessee ranks second nationally with 283.5 rushing yards per game, trailing only UCLA.
Texas will also try to run the ball against Tennessee’s defense, but RB1 Hollywood Smothers is questionable with a lower-leg injury. If Texas can sustain consistent rushing yards on early downs, it will make life easier for Manning.
The Vols grade out well in pass defense, and much of that is predicated on pressuring the quarterback. Tennessee has recorded the second-most sacks in the country with 13.
This is Tennessee’s first game against a top-25 team. It’s the first time Texas has played a road game after the Longhorns struggled to sustain drives away from home last season.
We expect a run-first attack from both teams, but can they convert red-zone trips into touchdowns? Texas has allowed just three TDs to opponents who’ve entered the red zone. If Tennessee can shore up its run defense just a bit, this game has a great chance of going UNDER 54.5.

Arch Manning UNDER 251.5 Passing Yards (-114 at FanDuel)
This number’s a bit rich for Manning, who failed to even throw for 200 yards against Ohio State (195) and UTSA (161) last week. Tennessee’s defense has allowed just 151 passing yards per game through three tilts.
The Vols also rank among the country’s top-12 teams in pressures, sacks, and coverage. Manning has a better chance of hurting Tennessee with his legs. Take the UNDER here.
