Rory McIlroy (pictured above) won this event in 2024, the last time it was played at Quail Hollow. McIlroy returns to action this week after taking close to a month off after his win at The Masters.

Best Bet on Favorite to Win Truist Championship
Rory McIlroy (+580)
McIlroy is the betting favorite this week, with Scottie Scheffler not in the field. Scheffler won last year’s PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, which did not host the Truist Championship as a result.
We usually hate betting chalk, especially with McIlroy coming off an extended rest break, but the Irishman loves this course. He owns four career victories at Quail Hollow after winning in 2010, 2015, 2021, and 2024.
McIlroy has made five starts this season, highlighted by these finishes:

- Genesis Invitational – T-2
- AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am – T-14
Given his course history, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see McIlroy record his fifth victory at Quail Hollow on Sunday.

Tommy Fleetwood (+2350)
Tommy Fleetwood has top-10 finishes in four of eight starts this season. The defending FedEx Cup champIon’s best finish of T-4 came in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Fleetwood has performed well in three career starts in the Truist Championship, finishing T-13, T-5, and T-14.
The Englishman ranks 4th on tour in SG: Around the Green and 8th in SG: Tee to Green this season.
Best Bet on Longshot to Win Truist Championship
Justin Rose (+6300)
Jutsin Rose had a disappointing T-65 finish at last week’s Cadillac Championship, but he’s been playing some of his best golf at 45.
In his previous start, Rose made another run at winning The Masters before finishing T-3. He’s already secured a win this season in the Farmers Insurance Open.
In two tournament starts here, Rose produced a 3rd-place finish in his 2019 debut. He’s still got the game and length to get it done on a demanding Quail Hollow track.
