DigiPlus strengthens ArenaPlus’ integrity via Sportradar partnership

Philippines-listed and licensed online gaming operator DigiPlus Interactive Corp says it is reinforcing the group’s commitment to a safer, more transparent gaming environment by integrating its sportsbook brand, ArenaPlus into the Sportradar Integrity Exchange (SIE).

SIE, run by Switzerland-based Sportradar Group AG, is described as a “global intelligence-sharing network that helps sports betting operators combat match-fixing by reporting suspicious betting activity in real-time”.

The collaboration “helps establish a real-time exchange of information and alerts regarding suspicious betting activities, while bolstering the existing tools used by ArenaPlus to tackle potential match-fixing and irregular betting patterns head-on,” the companies stated in a recent press release.

Per the update, the shared intelligence “enables Sportradar to identify manipulation patterns across global markets that individual operators might overlook, feeding into its AI-powered fraud detection system and supporting investigations”.

In the Philippines, DigiPlus operates BingoPlus, described as the country’s first government-approved online bingo platform. It also operates ArenaPlus, a sportsbook, and GameZone, a platform for casual and arcade gaming.

Earlier this month, ArenaPlus announced a “multiyear collaboration” to become the National Basketball Association’s (NBA’s) “first official betting partner in the Philippines”.

The announcement about ArenaPlus working with the SIE network cited Erick Su, the head of ArenaPlus, saying it was a “strategic move to further enhance the ArenaPlus platform”.

He added: “By exchanging critical data with an established firm, we are ensuring a safer environment for our users and playing an integral role in protecting the integrity of the sports we support.”

Andreas Krannich, Sportradar’s executive vice president of integrity services, stated in prepared remarks: “The SIE complements our wide range of integrity services, including the Universal Fraud Detection System AI (UFDS AI) and education programmes to help enhance sports integrity globally.”

“Partnering with ArenaPlus, which shares our commitment to transparency and integrity, is an important step in strengthening the region’s betting ecosystem,” Mr Krannich added. “Together, we aim to foster a safer and more secure environment for sport and its stakeholders.”

DigiPlus stated the integration of ArenaPlus into the SIE also serves as a “clear signal of DigiPlus’s unwavering commitment to fair play and transparency”.

“Through this strategic collaboration, DigiPlus not only protects its growing community of users but also reinforces its position as a trusted, forward-thinking leader in the Philippine gaming industry,” the firm added.
