S. Korea’s Paradise Co appoints senior manager Lim Jun-shin as a co-CEO

Paradise Co Ltd, an operator in South Korea of foreigner-only casinos, has appointed a person to act as co-chief executive officer (co-CEO) at the group. It follows a resolution at a general meeting on Friday of its shareholders and board of directors.

The role goes to Lim Jun-shin, most recently the chief operating officer of Paradise Walkerhill Casino and the firm’s casinos in Busan and Jeju. He will serve alongside Choi Jong-hwan – previously designated as chief executive and who will now also be known as co-CEO. That is according to a Friday filing with the Korea Exchange.

The filing did not mention the reason for the appointment of a co-CEO.

In March 2024, Choi Jong Hwan – who had worked as president and chief executive of Paradise SegaSammy Co Ltd, a venture between Japan’s Sega Sammy Holdings Inc and Paradise Co, that runs the Paradise City casino resort at Incheon – had been appointed a co-CEO of Paradise Co.

The freshly-appointed co-CEO, Mr Lim, had served in a senior management position at Paradise City from 2021 to 2025, according to the Friday filing.

Paradise Co directly operates three casino venues: Walkerhill in Seoul; Paradise Jeju on Jeju island; and a property in the port city of Busan.
