SBC Summit Europe strengthens Dutch industry engagement through strategic CasinoNieuws partnership

Multi-year partnership will see CasinoNieuws become SBC Summit Europe’s exclusive Dutch gambling media partner, expanding the event’s reach across the Netherlands while supporting its conference programme with local industry expertise.

SBC Events has announced a strategic media partnership with CasinoNieuws.nl, the leading Dutch gambling news and information platform, ahead of SBC Summit Europe 2027, which will make its debut at RAI Amsterdam on 19–21 April 2027.

Founded in 2020, CasinoNieuws has closely followed the evolution of the Dutch gambling industry, from the introduction of regulated online gambling in October 2021 to the regulatory and commercial challenges shaping the market today.

The partnership represents another important step in SBC’s strategy to establish strong relationships across the Dutch licensed gambling industry ahead of the launch of SBC Summit Europe in Amsterdam.

As the event’s exclusive Dutch gambling media partner, CasinoNieuws will help connect SBC Summit Europe with the Dutch gaming community and support engagement with licensed operators and industry leaders.

CasinoNieuws will co-curate the dedicated Dutch market track alongside SBC’s Conference Team, helping shape its themes, sessions and speaker line-up. The programme will explore the regulatory and commercial challenges facing the Dutch gambling industry, including taxation, advertising restrictions, player protection, channelisation and enforcement, while placing these developments in a wider European context.

Commenting on the partnership, SBC CEO & Founder Rasmus Sojmark said:

“Our ambition is to establish SBC Summit Europe as the annual meeting place for Europe’s regulated gaming industry, and building strong relationships within the Dutch market is an important part of making that happen.

“The Netherlands is one of Europe’s most interesting regulated gambling markets, with valuable lessons around taxation, player protection, channelisation and the commercial sustainability of licensed operators. These are challenges being discussed across Europe, and we want Dutch industry perspectives to play an important role in those conversations.

“CasinoNieuws has developed a strong understanding of the Dutch gambling industry, and through this partnership, we look forward to engaging more closely with the Dutch gaming community, strengthening our conference programme and bringing Dutch market expertise into the wider European discussion.”

Frank Op de Woerd, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of CasinoNieuws, said: “Having an event of this scale and international reach come to Amsterdam is a fantastic opportunity for the Dutch gambling industry. We’re operating in a market that has undergone enormous change in just a few years, and having the people shaping Europe’s regulated markets come together here creates opportunities for conversations we don’t often get to have on this scale.

“SBC has an impressive track record of bringing the global gambling industry together, and we’re excited to contribute to its European ambitions. For us, it’s an opportunity to put the Dutch industry’s experiences in the spotlight while bringing new ideas, insights and perspectives back to our readers.”

The CasinoNieuws agreement follows SBC’s recently announced partnership with VNLOK (Vergunde Nederlandse Online Kansspelaanbieders), the Dutch trade association representing licensed online gambling operators. While CasinoNieuws will contribute through its editorial reach and industry insights, the VNLOK partnership focuses on strengthening the participation and representation of Dutch licensed operators at SBC Summit Europe.

Given SBC Summit Europe’s strong emphasis on regulation, the event will also benefit from SBC’s newly unveiled three-year strategic partnership with the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL). This regulatory focus will also be reflected throughout the event, beginning on 19 April 2027 with the invitation-only SBC Leaders Regulatory Forum, bringing together senior regulators, policymakers and industry leaders for high-level discussions. A dedicated European Regulation track will also examine the key regulatory developments and challenges shaping Europe’s licensed gambling markets.

Beyond these regulatory discussions, SBC Summit Europe 2027 will offer a wider programme of business, educational and networking opportunities at RAI Amsterdam from 19–21 April. The event is expected to welcome 8,000+ attendees, including 3,000+ licensed operator representatives, alongside 250 exhibitors and sponsors and 250 industry speakers.

Across two days of exhibition, attendees will have access to four conference stages, specialist educational forums covering topics such as lottery innovation, player protection, sports integrity, payments and blockchain, and extensive networking opportunities connecting Europe’s licensed operators, affiliates, suppliers and other industry stakeholders.

Tickets for SBC Summit Europe will go on sale soon. In the meantime, interested attendees can register their interest here, and companies interested in exhibition and sponsorship opportunities can contact the SBC sales team at sales@sbcgaming.com.
