Ng Wai Han (pictured in a file photo), the incumbent director of Macau’s casino regulator Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), has seen her position renewed for one year with effect from Thursday (May 7).
That is according to a Wednesday dispatch issued on behalf of the city’s Office of the Secretary for Economy and Finance.
Ms Ng’s renewed appointment is based on her “civic integrity” and “professional competence”, stated the dispatch signed by Lo Chi Fai, the chief of the Office of the Secretary for Economy and Finance.
Veteran civil servant Ms Ng was first appointed as head of the gaming regulator in May, 2025. Prior to that, she was director of the city’s Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau. Before that, she had a more than two-decades-long career at the Labour Affairs Bureau.
