SOFTSWISS presents full compass of iGaming economies

The fifth edition of SOFTSWISS’ iGaming Trends Reports has been expanded to include the market size of sectors outside of gambling to prove iGaming’s economic footprint.

Surveying over 500 experts and diving deeper into more than 480,000 media headlines, the new study represents the biggest research into cross-industry trends, shifts, and narratives, supported by tier-1 case studies as evidence of real business growth, market expansion and performance.

Opportunities are understood, gauging the full value-chain of the igaming market as Alexandra Kavelich, Deputy Chief Marketing Officer at SOFTSWISS, said: “The next competitive advantage in iGaming will not come from content alone. It will come from regulatory readiness, secure payment journeys, intelligent risk management, relevant customer communication, and platforms that can respond quickly to changing regulations.

“Fintech, e-commerce, and streaming have already set the standard in these areas. iGaming operators that adapt those lessons effectively will be better positioned to grow responsibly and profitably.”

Expanding on Kavelich’s point is the report’s first ‘Beyond iGaming’ segment , where the relationship of igaming is broken down with e-commerce, sports, film, gaming, streaming, e-pharma, and crypto to determine how each market has progressed in size and put the growth of iGaming into perspective – but also highlight strategies that operators can learn from.

SOFTSWISS has included key findings and data from non-iGaming experts, such as studies on AI pilot-to-production development by Amazon Web Services, international market trends based on GGR data from H2 Gambling Capital, and the roles likely to shape the future according to Pentasia.

Ivan Montik, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of SOFTSWISS, added: “Today, iGaming is more mature, more scrutinised, and far more deliberate about how it grows. Those conversations are the foundation of everything that follows.

“This fifth edition is our attempt to answer them at scale – turning what we hear across markets, products and boardrooms into a clear read on 2027 and the decisions it will ask of operators, suppliers and partners.”

The full 2027 iGaming Trends report is available for download on the SOFTSWISS website. Alternatively, the company will present the findings at stand B501 during this week’s SBC Summit Lisbon 2026.
