OpenBet has taken another major step forward in its ambition of becoming the sportsbook platform of choice for state lottery firms by completing a platform migration for Switzerland’s Loterie Romande.
The migration has seen OpenBet fully move the existing omnichannel sportsbook product operated by Loterie Romande – the state lottery for Switzerland’s six French-speaking cantons – to its own platform.
Lottery operators were earmarked as specific targets for OpenBet as it entered a new era back in March 2025. A management buyout that year saw the company head in its own direction after years of ownership by Endeavor Group Holdings, prior to that company’s rebranding as WWE Holdings.
The deal with Loterie Romande was inked a year later in March 2026.
“We are delighted to continue our track record of delivering world-class technology and peerless scale to WLA members around the world,” said Nikos Konstakis, President at OpenBet.
“We are excited to see how this partnership continues to evolve, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with the OpenBet team.”
The Loterie Romande migration has been praised by OpenBet as a key milestone for the group, which aims to become the sportsbook platform of choice for World Lottery Association (WLA) members – Loterie Romande being part of this group.
The migration has seen Loterie Ramande’s JouezSport omnichannel sportsbook fully moved onto OpenBet’s platform. The product encompasses online, self-service, and over-the-counter betting, with 2,350 point-of-sale retail locations.
Provided services and solutions include managed trading services, AI-enhanced odds and risk management and a trading system platform.
“We are excited to see how this partnership continues to evolve, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with the OpenBet team,” said Jean-Luc Moner-Banet, Chief Executive Officer of Loterie Romande.
