The new Sisal Italia division of Flutter Entertainment has been granted exclusive management of gaming in Tunisia by Promosport, the country’s regulatory body for sports wagering.
In Tunisia, Sisal will create and oversee a “complete product portfolio” that will offer sports betting, internet games, quick lotteries, and number games (lottery draws). The original term of Promosport’s license is 10 years, during which time it will be able to administer all betting and gaming items throughout the nation through both offline and online retail outlets.
“Winning the tender in Tunisia is a significant achievement for Sisal,” remarked Marco Caccavale, Managing Director, Sisal International.
The Tunisian tender, hailed as a “major milestone” and taking place just a few months after Flutter Entertainment acquired the Italian company, expands the FTSE100 gaming group’s operations in Europe and North Africa.
