Veikkaus, Finland’s gambling monopoly, has confirmed that temporary online gambling loss limits imposed at the start of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic will become permanent after the country’s government approved the rules in a decree.
Last year, the government issued a decree significantly lowering monthly and weekly loss limits for Veikkaus’ online casino temporarily. The measures, however, remained in place throughout the pandemic, with the rules extended several times.
The government has now confirmed that the loss limits will remain in effect indefinitely.
