The Rio de Janeiro State Lottery (LOTERJ) has opened a bidding process for operators. It is for those interested in developing, distributing, and selling lottery and fixed-odds sports betting products in the state.
The tender will take place on July 5th for a contract worth BR$260.5 million ($49.2 million) over a 5-year period.
The winning company or consortium will be responsible for the development and distribution of lottery products such as draw-based and instant win games, as well as fixed-odds sports betting products, as well as the execution of related advertising campaigns.
Moreover, LOTERJ generated revenue of BR$400 million in the first year of operation. It rose to BR$1.06 billion in the fifth year of the contract.
