The Racing Partnership (TRP) has signed a media rights agreement with Newbury Racecourse. This ends a long-standing partnership with Racecourse Media Group (RMG).
As part of a five-year agreement, Sky Sports Racing will broadcast Newbury’s 29 annual race meetings beginning in January 2024. The track’s fixtures will include the Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials. It also includes Royal Ascot and the Cazoo St Leger Festival at Doncaster.
All Newbury fixtures will be distributed to the retail betting sector via TRP beginning April 1, 2023. The channel currently holds retail betting rights for all 16 Arena Racing Company (ARC) racecourses, as well as Fakenham, Hexham, Newton Abbot, Plumpton, and Ripon. TRP will also represent and distribute Newbury Racecourse PLC’s online media and data rights beginning January 1, 2024.
RMG and Newbury have been working together since 2004.
