Sports betting revenue in Washington, DC increased 46.2 percent month over month to $1.9 million in March. It was because William Hill widened the gap between itself and D.C. Lottery’s Gambet.
In March, players wagered a total of $15.2 million on sports across the two operators. It was down slightly from $15.3 million in February.
William Hill, which has a retail location at the Capital One Arena and runs a mobile sportsbook to players within two blocks of the venue, once again led the market in March.
During the month, players wagered $11.4 million with William Hill, up 2.7 percent from February, and won $10.3 million. The bookmaker now has $1.2 million in gross gaming revenue, up 63.8 percent month over month.
