Colorado voters gave casinos and three mountain gambling towns an early Christmas Saturday by introducing no-limit betting.
Bet limits will however remain in place, but they will be determined by individual casinos instead. According to casino managers in Cripple Creek, most casinos will set wagering limits between $500 and $1,000. Higher limits will also be available up to $2,500 to their most loyal customers.
The higher betting limits and a host of new games were permissible starting Saturday under Amendment 77. Colorado voters approved it in November. Also, voters in Black Hawk, Central City, and Cripple Creek, as well as city councils in all three towns approved it.
