Cambodia – Donaco’s revenues fall as Star Vegas closes

Cambodia

Donaco International’s quarterly revenues have fallen to A$1.5 million as a result of the latest wave of infections in Cambodia. This forced the temporary closure of Star Vegas. Whereas, it generated A$2.8 million in the March 2020 quarter.

The ongoing outbreaks have significantly reduced visitation numbers. This affected revenue and EBITDA, resulting in Group revenue of A$1.5 million and negative EBITDA of A$0.5 million.

Donaco is continuing its mitigation efforts in the aftermath of recent COVID-19 outbreaks in the regional area near Star Vegas. As a result of the latest wave of infections, Cambodian local authorities mandated the temporary closure of all casinos in the Banteay Meanchey province to prevent a community outbreak. This resulted in the temporary closure of Star Vegas beginning on April 27, 2021, and lasting until further notice.
