The 19 partially operational casinos in Chile generated $3.3m during February operations. They will distribute the revenue among the country’s jurisdictions in May 2021.
The month began with 19 operating casinos, 14 of which received a concession and five municipal casinos. New restrictions introduced due to COVID-19 reduced the number to 17 in February.
The casinos in the regions of Arica, Talca, Chillán, Los Angeles, Coyhaique and Natales are currently not operational.
According to the Superintendency of Gambling Casinos (SCJ) report, the 19 casinos generated $11.4 million in gross gaming revenue (GGR) in February 2020, when all casinos were still open.
