The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position of Paysafe has been filled by Alex Gersh, a previous executive with two well-known companies in the sports betting industry.
The new recruit comes from Sportradar, where he served as CFO since July 2020. While there, he oversaw a time of rapid growth for the Swiss sportstech and data company as well as its successful offering on the Nasdaq exchange in the United States.
Additionally, Gersh has past experience in the betting industry as a former Board Director and CFO of Paddy Power Betfair from 2016 to 2018. Prior to Betfair’s merger with Paddy Power, Gersh served as the company’s financial director. “Paysafe has a highly diversified and relevant digital payments offering in the specialised industries it focuses on including gaming and entertainment,” he remarked.
