Tipico, one of Europe’s largest online sports betting platforms, has named metro Denver. It is because the leading candidate for a new technology hub is looking to expand its U.S. operations.

The Colorado Economic Development Commission approved up to $7.5 million in job growth incentive tax credits for the Malta-based company on Thursday morning if it brings 441 jobs to the state over the next eight years. Also, the jobs, which are more toward software and data positions, will pay $96,315 per year on average.

“We believe that Denver is the best long-term location for our project. We believe it is a location where we can find people,” said Adrian Vella, supervisor of the sportsbook’s U.S. expansion. Also, the sportsbook is currently licensed to operate in New Jersey and Colorado.
