The FBI is currently looking into cyberattacks on casinos in multiple states. Six tribal casinos in Oklahoma are under observation. Preventive defense is the best way to protect Nebraska organizations, local experts say.
“We get thousands of attempts every day,” said Jerry Beaver, IT Director at Ho-Chunk, Inc.
“Think of it as an alarm system, but you have to make sure the alarms are working,” he said. He also explained that you must constantly update the cybersecurity software, run system checks, and update it. It is because hackers are constantly learning new tricks,” he added.
