Football Index £4.5m claims hearing gets to High Court

The hearing concerning the distribution of over £4.5m in funds to former Football Index customers is under investigation in the High Court of Justice for England and Wales.

Begbies Traynor, the insolvency practitioner for Football Index parent company BetIndex, started processing claims against the company in April. It was a month after the operators went bankrupt.

However, after the firm initiated the hearing on Monday, they expected that the Insolvency List at the Business and Property Courts of England and Wales would hear the case. It was because the administrators were hoping for a quick resolution to the issue.

The case is undergoing analysis at the High Court. But they have not announced any date yet. This delays the distribution of funds to customers.
