Gamenet Group’s completed its €1.1 billion buyouts of IGT Plc’s Lottomatica B2C subsidiaries. Following this, a new era in Italian gambling has begun.
[On Tuesday], Gamenet and IGT announced that it concluded all final arrangements in the sale of Lottomatica’s Scommesse and Videolot Rete gaming machine units.
Moreover, Gamenet has confirmed that it will now operate all B2C units under the Lottomatica brand. It is to capitalize on its new assets’ heritage identity with the Italian public.
According to Gamenet, “a new Lottomatica becomes the market leader of Italy’s regulated gaming market. It will also lead the business segments of online, sports betting, and gaming machines.”
