VIP Mobility, the industry’s first mobile solution “enabling true cashless casino gaming,” has been launched at the Viejas Casino & Resort in San Diego by Global Payments Gaming Solution.
According to company president Christopher Justice, it runs smoothly from funding to cash-out. By scanning an existing voucher, casino guests can generate digital TITO tickets on their mobile devices. They can then pair their mobile device to any slot or table game by scanning a QR code. They can then retrieve their funds once they have finished playing.
“What Global Payments has sought to do through VIP Mobility is to add cashless gaming into the patron’s overall gaming experience without having to completely redefine what that patron experience looks like,” said Josh Swissman, founding partner at the Strategy Organization, a company consultant. “They made the TITO ticket virtual.”
Customers at Downstream appreciated the ability to move from machine to machine without having to wait in line. They said the app was simple to use. They liked the fact that they could stay in their slot to pay rather than going to the ATM.
