Beginning this fall, the United States will relax international airline travel restrictions, allowing vaccinated foreign nationals to return to the country.
According to White House COVID-19 coordinator Jeff Zients, the new policy, which is set to take effect in early November, will require travelers to show proof of being fully vaccinated as well as proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within three days of the flight. Unvaccinated Americans will be required to be tested within a day of their arrival in the United States, and then again a week later.
