The inquiry assisting the Royal Commission into Crown Melbourne says that Crown Resorts are unfit to keep its casino license. It is due to their violations of Victoria’s Casino Control Act.
According to Adrian Finanzio SC, “the misconduct that caused loss of confidence is the very serious end of the spectrum. This includes systemic and repeated failings as an AML/CTF reporting entity, a provider of responsible gaming, a casino that guards against organized crime influences at the casino, a taxpayer, and more.”
He focused on systemic issues such as anti-money laundering controls, responsible gambling, tax payments, and compliance. He also suggested that Crown Resorts Executive Chair and Crown Melbourne CEO were unfit to be Crown Melbourne employees.
