By enacting fresh modifications to the country’s Gambling Law and the Lottery & Gaming Tax Law, Lithuania’s Seimas continues to modernize the Baltic state’s gambling regulations.
The Lithuanian Gambling Control Authority will issue a new type of license for “the organization (of) remote gambling services” as a result of changes to the gambling law.
To differentiate the standards for remote gaming from those that apply to enterprises that offer land-based gambling, a new remote gambling license must be introduced by the government.
According to current regulations, gaming establishments need municipal consent before they can use licenses given to companies that have built and run terrestrial (land-based) venues.
