Lithuania’s parliament has banned all forms of gambling promotion, including by online means.
On Thursday, 105 people voted in favor of the amendments to the Gambling Law, with 14 abstentions.
Also, Gambling operators will be unable to hold gambling trials, distribute gambling chips or hold other promotions or offer gifts.
According to Aurelijus Veryga of the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union, “it is a type of activity that costs too much for some people in terms of health and not just money.”
Moreover, the coronavirus crisis, according to Virginijus Dauksys, director of the Gaming Control, aggravated the issue in the gaming market.
