After removing restrictions earlier this year, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission has decided on mask rules for employees and patrons. But the new guidelines are causing some confusion.
Following a back-and-forth with the Gaming Commission, casinos will recommend that all vaccinated patrons wear a mask if they or someone in their household is more vulnerable to the virus. However, they will also post signs stating that the agency recommends that everyone wear a mask.
Regardless of vaccination status, all employees at MGM Springfield must wear masks at work.
The CDC advises vaccinated people to wear masks in public indoor spaces in counties with “substantial” or “high” COVID-19 transmission.
