Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has reopened with an entirely new wing that includes an expanded high limit gaming area; a new Governor’s Room; and a state-of-the-art sports bar that will open soon.
The sports bar has large-screen televisions and an outdoor wrap-around deck with views of the Sandia Mountains and the city. The newly built entertainment space is approximately 50,000 square feet in size. Sandia is the last of the state’s large casinos and resorts to open.
Sandia’s new sports bar includes a Class II gaming area, allowing guests to sip cocktails while playing their favorite slot machines.
Sandia Pueblo Governor Stuart Paisano stated, “The plan has always been to add more gaming space. The second floor is currently unoccupied. So, as part of that effort, we improved our HVAC units to provide more clean air on the casino’s south side, allowing our customers to enjoy a “fresher” environment.”
