Scientific Games Corporation is expanding its global digital lottery footprint to nearly 30 U.S. and international lotteries. It will continue the launch of iLottery games for the Hungarian Lottery and the addition of go-lives of eInstant games.
Hungary’s lottery is one of Europe’s fastest-growing, with digital sales up 58% from 2018 to 2020. Thanks to a partnership with Scientific Games and combined retail and digital sales, up 17% from 2018 to 2020. Scientific Games also offers a sports betting program, a central gaming system, and retail technology to the lottery.
“Scientific Games is an essential partner in our modernization efforts. The launch of our eInstant program has increased annual growth,” said the Director of Game Development for the Hungarian lottery.
Thus far, the favorite eInstant game among Hungarian National Lottery players is blackjack, sold at retail since 1995. It has contributed to more than 22% of eInstant game sales and more than 19% of the lottery’s instant game revenue.
