Norwegian regulator Lotteritilsynet will fine affiliate site owner SEO-Butler for promoting illegal gambling websites despite repeated warnings.
On December 7, 2020, the regulator ordered SEO-Butler to stop marketing illegal gambling websites on its websites.
On March 22, this year, it issued a warning that if SEO-Butler did not stop promoting these sites, it would be fined.
In response, SEO-Butler issued a letter stating that it blocked users with Norwegian IP addresses from accessing its sites.
While reviews revealed that four of its websites had dot.no domains, and users could view it. On these sites, SEO-Butler continued to promote illegal gambling.
