Sisolak signs ‘Right to Return’ legislation into law

Gov. Steve Sisolak signed legislation ensuring the rights of laid-off gaming and tourism industry workers to return to work.

Sisolak’s signature on SB386 or the “Right to Return” bill, got approval alongside many other bills that received governor’s approval. Sisolak signed ten bills, many of which were related to women’s health or criminal or social justice reform. On Tuesday, he also signed 28 other bills into law, including SB386.

With less than a week left in the 120-day legislative session, gaming representatives and the Culinary Union reached an agreement on the high-profile worker rights legislation. They agreed to limit the bill’s scope and exempt certain employee classes such as managers and stage performers.
