Former Florence County deputy sentenced to one year in federal prison after pleading guilty to illegally operating a gambling business.
Lt. Mark Edward Fuleihan, a former Florence County Sheriff, is under arrest since Wednesday. Fuleihan will be in prison for 12 months and one day at a facility in Butner, North Carolina. Furthermore, he will be on supervised release for three years after his release.
Fuleihan and another former Florence County deputy pleaded guilty in April to charges of illegally and knowingly conducting, financing, managing, supervising, and owning an illegal gambling business. Also, according to the agreement, they cannot change their guilty plea.
