Sports betting is coming to Deadwood, and casinos are preparing in force.
According to an Oxford Economics study, sports betting in South Dakota will generate an additional 22.1 million dollars in gaming revenue. Moreover, it will generate 6.1 million dollars in additional income, and 152 gaming jobs.
Things are coming together for one Deadwood Casino. The Deadwood Mountain Grand hopes to finish construction within the next few months, with 29 TVs and an entire section dedicated to sports betting.
“Today, almost all of the televisions have arrived; we are still missing four… “We’re going to try to have all the sports you can think of,” Tyler Nold, Casino Manager, said.
