The South Dakota Commission on Gaming has announced that the state will begin accepting applications for sports wagering licenses on July 1. Several new rules will become a part of the sports betting bill passed in March.
Sports betting will be added to the list of approved gaming types under the new rules. However, license applications are available on the Commission’s website. But the Commission will begin accepting them on July 1.
Providers who want to offer sports wagering in their facilities will have to pay a $5,000 application fee. This is in addition to the original bill’s $2,000 license fee and $2,000 annual renewal fee.
