Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) of Macau has granted China State Construction Development Holdings Limited the subcontract for façade works on its Galaxy Macau Phase 4 development, claiming it to be the ‘biggest single contract amount of façade construction contract in the world.’
Far East Facade (Macau) Limited, a subsidiary of China State Construction, will handle the HK$2.24 billion (US$285 million) project, which will be the company’s latest in the region.
The company stated: “It is expected that this project will be the largest single contract amount of façade construction contract in the world. We have been committed to building the ‘Far East Façade’ brand, proactively improving our strengths and striving for excellence in various construction projects in order to meet or even exceed the expectation of different parties. We are delighted that our efforts have been recognized and we will continue to enhance our credibility and reputation in the industry, as well as further expand our business development and growth.”
“We see the premium market evolving with this segment preferring higher quality and more spacious rooms,” Galaxy added. “Cotai Phase 4 is an integrated resort for the next generation, which will complete our ecosystem in Cotai.
“Phases 3 & 4 combined will have approximately 3,000 high-end and family rooms and villas, 400,000 square feet of MICE space, a 500,000 square feet 16,000-seat multi-purpose arena, F&B, retail and casinos, among others. As you can see, we remain highly confident about the future of Macau where Cotai Phases 3 and 4 will support Macau’s vision of becoming a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.”
