The French regulator has reopened the gaming self-evaluation service.

The unified gaming authority of France, l’Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ), has reintroduced “Evalujeu,” an online program that offers the public self-evaluation exams on problem gambling.

Evalujeu, which has been in operation since 2015 and is acknowledged as an “essential safety component of France’s gambling network,” assists the public in assessing their gambling behaviors.

The website allows visitors to respond to gambling-related questions and offers analyzed comments alerting them to risks and weaknesses.

The risk level of users is calculated by Evalujeu using the “Canadian Excessive Gambling Index” (CPGI). In accordance with the outcome, Evalujeu will offer tailored guidance to support the user and ensure that “gaming is maintained at as a recreational practice.”
