Gammix has been issued a cease-and-desist order by the Dutch Gaming Authority, Kansspelautoriteit, for providing online games of chance without authorization.
Gammix will be subject to a fine of up to €4.5 million, or €1.47 million each week, if it continues to violate the agreement.
The Ksa has determined that Gammix provides games of chance to Dutch consumers via a number of websites even though it has the necessary authorization to do so.
Because no supervision is feasible, it is impossible to ensure that the game is fair and that addiction prevention is given enough attention, among other reasons.
