Scientific Games’ older partner Florida Lottery broke a fifth consecutive U.S. record. The record was for single-week retail sales of Scratch-off games. The Floridians bought $193,542,083 in Scratch-offs. The week ended on February 28, 2021.
Florida Lottery generated more than $35.9m for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund. The trust will benefit Florida students.
Florida Lottery Secretary John F. Davis said, “By starting latest Scratch-Off games with a variety of options and prices. We are giving our players what they wish. The results speak for themselves. Now, our players have more winning opportunities. The dealers are earning higher commissions. In the end, we generate more revenue for education in Florida.”
Scientific Games manufactures Florida Lottery Scratch-off games. They give their services to the Lottery through its Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership program. It includes:
- Game planning services
- Analytics and Insights
- Logistics and Warehousing
- Distribution and Retail Services
The company provides these services from the Company’s facility in Orlando. They processed the games for distribution to over 13,000 Florida Lottery retailers.

The Florida Lottery record week of instant game retail sales destroyed its own previous U.S. record of $149,808,655 set in 2020. This record week comes six months after the Lottery announced nine consecutive years of record-breaking annual sales for 2020.
Scratch-off games comprised about 76.7 percent of its total sales in the fiscal year 2020.
The Florida Lottery all-new $30bn Gold Rush Supreme Scratch-off from Scientific Games has 28 prizes from $1m to $15m. It alone topped $25.5m in retail sales. Other top-sellers created included a Gold Rush Supreme family of games ($1, $2, $5, and $10) that recorded $32.7m in sales for the week.
