Entain, a sports betting group, reported ‘strong performance across the group with positive trends as markets continue to re-open in the first half. It saw an 11% increase in net gaming revenue, with the second quarter seeing a 42% increase.
The group, which includes Ladbrokes, Coral, bwin, and Gala, has delivered 22 consecutive quarters of double-digit growth online. The NGR also increased 22% in Q2 driven by sports betting, reflecting limited sports activity the previous year; excluding Germany, Q2 online NGR was up 32%.
Entain CEO Jette Nygaard-Andersen stated, “We have delivered another strong performance across the Group. Our diversified business model has allowed us to expand in all key markets while navigating channel and product mix changes as retail reopens and we annualize last year’s limited sports calendar. Outside of Germany, where the market is adjusting to regulatory changes, we saw strong growth in all major markets.
