The newly formed Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries in Ukraine has refused the Dnipro Hotel in Kyiv a casino license.
The authority stated that the hotel’s paperwork contained errors, making it difficult to issue a casino license. There was an error with the address provided on the paperwork and also many inconsistencies in the hotel floor plan.
According to sources, the hotel applied for a casino license in December. It was just months after the Ukrainian government formed the commission. Gambling in Ukraine became legal last August, and a regulatory body came together to oversee the brand-new industry.
