Government officials from Uruguay’s Eastern Republic have outlined the benefits of casino companies investing in Uruguay. They also highlighted the open tenders that are currently available in Rocha, Atlántida, and Carmelo.
Uruguay’s Undersecretary of Tourism, Remo Monzeglio, called Uruguay “the most stable and reliable country in Latin America.”
Mr. Monzeglio, joined by Uruguay’s director of the Ministry’s Secretariat, Ignacio Curbelo, discussed Uruguay’s political, economic, and social stability, as well as the country’s existing infrastructure, high Internet usage, and low corruption.
They highlighted the country’s well-known hotel brands, such as Accor and Marriott.
The Uruguayan government announced that it will hold a tender to develop Casino Carmelo at a five-star hotel.
