Las Vegas Sands intends to make a strategic investment in digital gaming technologies, with a primary focus on business-to-business transactions.
As part of this effort, the company is putting together a digital gaming investment team led by Mr. Davis Catlin. Mr. Catlin joins Sands after working for a major investment firm for fourteen years. Mr. Catlin oversaw the firm’s investments in both public and private digital gaming companies over the last decade.
“Sands is hopeful to grow its industry leadership position and is confident to doing so through strategic steps we believe best position the company for future growth,” said Robert Goldstein, the company’s chairman and CEO. “Digital gaming and other related offerings are still in their early stages of development, and we believe there is an excellent opportunity for us to invest in the new technologies.”
