The Resort Casino Evaluation Panel in Richmond has chosen Urban One and Colonial Downs as the preferred operator. It will allow the consortium to proceed with ONE Casino + Resort, a US$600 million, 300,000 square-foot resort with 100,000 square feet of gaming space.

The casino will have 2,000 slot machines and 110 table games, including poker and a sportsbook. It will also include a 250-room hotel expanding to 600 rooms, 15 bars and restaurants, a 3,000-seat event center. Also, It will host 200 entertainment events per year.
Richmond voters will decide the final say on whether or not the casino will open on Election Day. Richmond would then join four other Virginia cities that approved their own casino projects in 2020 if a simple majority of residents voted yes.
